Avrig mountain bike race 2016 – mtb triad

The MTB Triad starts early this year with a competition that is only good for the beginning of the season. The Avrig Mountain Bike Race, the first stage of the MTB Triad 2016, will take place on Sunday in the hills around the town of Avrig. The route measures 45 km and has a difference in level of 950m. For the most part, the degree of difficulty is medium, but there are also a few areas with high difficulty that will test the over 200 participants who are announced to be present at the start. The area chosen for the route is a special one in terms of landscapes, in many points of the route you can admire panoramas of the Olt Country or the Făgăraș Mountains. The start will be at 11:00 from the center of Avrig.
On Saturday, April 9, in the center of Avrig and partially in the summer garden of the Brukenthal Palace, a route will be set up on which, starting at 1:00 PM, competitions for children between the ages of 4 and 14 will take place. The National Cross Country Eliminator Championship (XCE), a spectacular and relatively new event in mountain biking, will also take place here, starting at 4:00 PM.

The competition is in its 2nd edition and is organized by Scott Geiger Team with the support of the Avrig City Hall under the aegis of the Romanian Cycling Federation.
